Apple Chip Cake

Apple Chip Cake

2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. chopped fresh apples
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 t. cloves
2 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
1 t. salt
2 tsp vanilla
2/3 c. oil

Combine sugar and eggs.  Add apples.  Add dry ingredients, oil and vanilla.  Mix well, about 2 minutes.  Put into greased and floured dripper pan.  Put topping on top of batter.

Bake 350' for 1 hour or until done.

Topping:
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter

Cut in and mix well.  Sprinkle on cake.  Serve with whip cream on top.
