Sausage Bean Chowder
1 lb. bulk pork sausage-cook-drain fat
2 c. (16 oz) kidney beans
1 large can of 1 qt tomatoes
1 qt water
1 large onion-chopped
1-1/2 t. seasoned salt
1/2 t. garlic salt
1/2 t. thyme
1/4 t. pepper
1 bay leaf
Combine all, cook covered with lid for 1 hour
1 c. diced potatoes
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
Add remaining cook for additional 15-20 minutes
Yield: 7 generous servings
